About Imagine Photojournalist Society
We empower professionals and learners with skill-based training and a platform for knowledge exchange.
Imagine Photojournalist Society was founded in 2012 with the objective of building photojournalism and photography skills among people around the globe — created with the aim of spreading photojournalism literacy among professionals and learners.
The Hon'ble Governor of Rajasthan, Ms. Margaret Alva, launched the Society's flag on September 25, 2012. That was the day a movement began — a better platform for learning, exchanging experiences, analyzing research, tracking trends, and running skill-based value education and training programs.
The Society's activities include photography exhibitions, professional training camps, skill-oriented workshops for students and professionals, and research programs. The Photojournalism Seminar was launched in 2015, making Imagine Photojournalist Society the only organization in Asia to hold a yearly national as well as international seminar — the Jaipur Photojournalism Seminar — with the active support of acclaimed industry professionals who have made a mark both in the country and around the world.

He has trained many professionals, students, and learners — most notably through "Camera Commando," a field-reporting training program for young women that is widely cited as a milestone in a male-dominated field: over 45 days, in extreme conditions, the group travelled roughly 5,000 kilometers across India to produce a rare body of work.
Thus the Imagine Photojournalist Society's journey of Photojournalism Literacy is still on……
